My name is Rochelle Graves, I am the school psychologist and an advisor for our National Elementary Honor Society students at Marion Earl ES. My other school is Kenny Guinn STEM Academy. This will be my twenty-sixth year at both schools. I grew up in Reno, Nevada, received a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from St. Mary’s College of California, and my Masters in Counseling and Educational Psychology from Loyola Marymount University in California.

I have a true passion for working with our students.  Helping each child progress in all areas of their development—academic, social, and language. I strive to create a community of learners that nurtures this growth in a positive, fun environment.

Personally, I love taking road trips throughout Nevada and to National Parks. This summer I went to six National Parks and four National Monuments!

I am the Physical Education at Marion Earl.  I have been teaching in Clark County for six years.  Prior to that I attended Penn State University, where I received my teaching certification in Health and PE grades K-12.  I also grew up in the town of Bellefonte, PA which is 15 minutes outside of Penn State.

I made the journey in 2015 from Pennsylvania to Vegas to pursue my passion for teaching.  I can honestly say I have my dream job working as a PE teacher for Marion Earl.  Working with the staff, parents, and students is great joy for me and something I don’t take for granted.

In my free time I enjoy being active by running and playing soccer.  I also support my favorite teams whether on tv or at the event.  My favorite teams are the Vegas Golden Knights, Penn State Nittany Lions, Pittsburgh Steelers, and our United States Soccer National Team.

This school year 2021-2022 is my 7th year at Marion Earl Elementary School. Being an educator for decades, Marion Earl ES is the 7th school I have been working at and where I taught 4th and 3rd grades. (Take note: 4 and 3 are addends of 7). A treat for triple 7!

Moving along the highway of 7’s, please don’t be surprised, for this year I am your MATH strategist!

My educational background and experiences are a fusion from the Philippines and the USA. In our diverse school of 26 languages or dialects, I found a niche, a community, and a second home!

Erin Sorenson

Hello, I am Mrs. Sorensen, and I have the best job ever!  I get to combine two of the things that I love most: children, and art!  I am the Art Specialist here at Marion Earl Elementary.  I started my teaching career in 2003, and have been at Marion Earl since 2005.

I grew up in San Diego and Salt Lake City, but graduated from high school in Las Vegas. I have been married to my wonderful husband for almost 20 years and we have two beautiful boys who are 13 and 9, and a sweet dog named Jasper.

Some of my loves are art, music, traveling, nature (especially trees), reading, chocolate chip cookies, rain, photography, astronomy,

and kids.

I love watching kids get excited about art and the things they are creating.  My goal is to help every child achieve their potential, and grow into kind and compassionate human beings.

“Art has the role in education of helping children become more like

themselves instead of more like everyone else.”

I was born in Colorado but have spent most my life in Las Vegas. I have been married for ten years and I have a son and a daughter, Antonio and Maya.  If I am not reading, you’ll probably find me doing yoga, walking my dogs, or spending time with family and friends.

I am beyond excited to continue my journey as an educator as a Marion Earl Eagle!
