Meet Our Third Grade Teachers
Hello! My name is Joy Holladay and I am honored to be teaching this year’s fabulous group of third grade students! After leaving college in Pennsylvania with a Bachelor’s degree in education, I earned my Master’s degree here in Nevada. I have been teaching for twenty years now and am proud to be a Marion Earl Eagle! When not in school, I enjoy cozying up with a cool Starbucks, a creamy peanut butter cup, and a good graphic novel. I look forward to working together to educate the bright minds of the future!
Hello! My name is Michelle Rom and this is my 17th year teaching here at Marion Earl. I was born and raised in Portland, Oregon. I received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Master of Arts in Early Childhood and Elementary Education from Pacific University. I moved to Las Vegas in 2005 to begin my teaching career. I have been married for 15 years to my wonderful husband, Scott and have two amazing children, Hayden (11 years old) and Bradley (9 years old). My daughter, Hayden, plays hockey for the Vegas Junior Golden Knights 12U girls travel team. My son, Bradley, plays club baseball for the Sin City Thunder 9U boys travel team. Most of my weekends and holidays are spent traveling to watch my children play hockey and baseball. In my spare time, I love to read, spend time with my family, and watch the Vegas Golden Knights hockey team. Go Knights Go!
I was born and raised in San Diego, California. I graduated from Long Beach State with a degree in human development. I received my master’s in education from Walden University. I have been teaching for 20 years and love working with children. I have an amazing daughter, who is now in fifth grade. We love to visit CA to spend time with our family, friends, and go to the beach. When we are here in Vegas, we love going hiking in Mount Charleston and Red Rock Canyon.
